Signature chef’s tasting: Duel
Duel: The name says it all—this menu is a culinary face-off between three talented teams of chefs, each bringing their unique flair to every dish. Each course will be a thrilling competition between the teams, with guests having the chance to vote on which dish they prefer. This playful yet friendly competition will still incorporate Travail’s intimate dining experience with a 12+ course tasting menu and optional wine pairings by our Sommelier.

Bubbles & bites
Discover the World of Sparkling Wines with our sommelier, Dave Brown as we explore the art of champagne and other iconic sparkling wines. The evening begins with mingling over light bites, followed by an intimate seated multi-course chef's tasting experience.

Chef spotlight dinners at Travail are a highlight of our culinary calendar. These special events give our talented team the chance to flex their creative muscles and share their personal favorites with you. For this Tex-Mex spotlight dinner, Chef Brendan is collaborating with Robb Jones from Meteor and the innovative Casa Lumbre, a farm-to-bottle Mexican spirit company.

The Dinner Party By Travail
You’re invited to an epic dinner party hosted by Travail’s regional manager. Join us as we transport you to Scranton, PA for an episode-themed 8+ course chef’s tasting menu paired with wine and cocktails. Each course and beverage is curated to remind you of hilarious and heartwarming moments from the mockumentary sitcom TV series as we celebrate our favorite paper company.
DISCOVER THE UNEXPECTED AT TRAVAIL KITCHEN AND AMUSEMENTS
We are a group of culinary innovators and event curators passionate about hospitality. Travail Kitchen and Amusements is led by chef-owners and James Beard semi-finalists Mike Brown, Bob Gerken, and James Winberg in downtown Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Our newly constructed three-story restaurant hosts a variety of innovative dining concepts, public parties, private events, and local chef collaborations.
The Travail Collective also includes Nouvelle Kitchen & Brewery featuring small-batch brews and craft pizzas by Pig Ate My Pizza located across the street in downtown Robbinsdale. The latest concept under the Collective umbrella is Dream Creamery in Northeast Minneapolis offering premium ice cream and one of the best smash burgers in Minneapolis.
